The Peace Village (NGO) is a recent purpose build hostel in the Ypres Salient. With 40 rooms and 150 beds, the centre caters for multiple target groups, including people with physical limitations. In 2013, eight new twin rooms were added as well as a football pitch. Besides several meeting and conference rooms, we also have our own in-house restaurant and bar. The outdoor facilities (including sports, bonfire, etc.) have a breath-taking view over the former battlefields, memorials and cemeteries. Through the Flanders Peace Field project, we focus on the remembrance of the local Christmas Truces. With tailored educational (evening) activities, guided tours, itinerary help, etc. we provide quite a number of extra services for residential groups.
