The adventures of Tintin is a popular series of comic strips created by the Belgian cartoonist Hergé.

The hero Tintin

The hero of the series is the character Tintin, a young Belgian reporter and globe-trotter, always accompanied by his faithful dog Snowy (French: Milou).

Other popular characters: Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus (Tournesol), the detectives Thomson and Thompson (Dupont et Dupond).

The adventures of Tintin is one of the most popular European comics of the 20th century, translated into more than 80 languages and selling more than 350 million copies worldwide.
