Tea Cump Banner

On 15 December 2015, VISITFLANDERS handed out special remembrance tea cups to passers-by in London and Manchester to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Talbot House, the Every Man’s Club in Poperinge. It was the place where all soldiers could forget about the war for a short moment. Soldiers would flock to the house, located behind the front lines and seeks solace by gathering around its famous piano whilst enjoying its English garden, a cup of tea and a piece of cake.

Nowadays, Talbot House is a living museum, where you can still enjoy the simple pleasures of a cup of tea and a piece of cake, and play the original piano as the soldiers did in 1915.
