This beautiful church currently under restoration until 2017 holds the accolade of being the second highest brickwork tower in the world, and at 122.3 metres, it is the tallest spire in Belgium. Taking over 200 years to build from the 13-15th century, it is home of two guilded tombs of a duke and his daughter, but most people come to see the statue of Madonna and Child. Made of white marble, this is a treasured sculpture created by Michelangelo around 1504. Be sure to explore the grounds, as the St Bonifacius Bridge offers a great spot for taking photos.
