The Museum Plantin-Moretus, a UNESCO world heritage site, pays tribute to all book designers and especially to Peter Paul Rubens. This unique location, where the narratives of complex processes of exceptionally preserved heritage collections of printing and publishing are told, focuses on the friendship between Balthasar I Moretus and Rubens and, in particular, on their mutual collaboration. The publisher's role is indispensable for developing an understanding of what books fundamentally are. This is as true in the present as it was in the past.
