This exhibition reveals the baroque public space of church, state and market; penetrates domestic interiors and ends up in the secret drawers of the citizens of Antwerp and Flanders in the 17th century. Masterpieces by Rubens, Van Dyck, Jordaens and Bruegels stand in surprising contrast with contemporary art, soundscapes and smell installations for a complete sensory experience.
