The Plantin-Moretus Museum, UNESCO world heritage site, and a unique location where the narratives of complex processes of exceptionally preserved heritage collections of printing and publishing are told, focuses on the friendship between Balthasar I Moretus and Rubens and, in particular, on their mutual collaboration. The publisher's role is indispensable for developing an understanding of what books fundamentally are. This is as true in the present as it was in the past.
