Het Waterhuis aan de Bierkant
Het Waterhuis aan de Bierkant is another of Ghent's traditional historic pubs, a 'must' for beer fans and tourists. Its location right next to the river Leie makes it very popular, especially in the summer when the terrace becomes a true 'hot spot', but there is also a splendid view over the river from the candle-lit bar. A further attractions is the regular performances of the Ghent puppet theatre, which take place upstairs. No visit is complete without having tasted one of the tavern's own brews - Gandavum. Klokke Roeland or Mammelokker. Apart from these, the tavern specialises in Gueuze and Kriek beers.
Opening times: Daily, from 11:00.
Number of different beers on offer: 175.
