VISITFLANDERS and Tomorrowland are dressing up Brussels’ most famous resident, the Manneken-Pis, in a specially commissioned Tomorrowland party outfit. The special outfit was created as a result of the Belgian Journey of Tomorrowland. The event involved a total of 350 international festival-goers visiting the capital today.

Manneken-Pis dressed for Tomorrowland

When you think of our destination, you immediately think of chocolate and beer. But there is more to us than just this! With over 300 festivals, Flanders is also one of the main festival regions of the world.

Tomorrowland is, of course, the Festival par excellence, with a very cosmopolitan feel. The international visitors of Tomorrowland also get to visit outside the main festival grounds in the town of Boom during their Belgian Journey. Last week, they discovered Antwerp, and today the city of Brussels was graced by their collective presence!

The international festival-goers treated to a good insight into the capital, including a visit to Mini-Europe and a Belgian Party at Heysel. Indeed one of the highlights of the day was undoubtedly the Manneken Pis’ new Tomorrowland outfit. VISITFLANDERS and Tomorrowland received the approval of the City of Brussels and the Order of the Friends of Manneken-Pis to arrange a specially commissioned and tailor made outfit for him. After a solemn ceremony at the Brussels City Hall, the new outfit of Manneken Pis was formally revealed  to the general public.

Festival goers thoroughly enjoyed their Brussels visit and although the Manneken Pis  will wear this magical outfit today, for one day only, the costume will now move to the Manneken Pis Museum.
