On the outskirts of Mechelen, there is a sports and recreation domain mainly known for the beach where hundreds of visitors relax and have fun during the summer. On the 65ha of green area, there is not only a lake with swimming area and a beach, but there are also playgrounds, a water slide and outdoor and indoor sports facilities, a skating street with several ramps, an indoor playground Nekki, and an indoor swimming pool Nekkerpool.
