At the Lace Museum you will learn all about the early days of lace, the basic techniques and stitches, the lace types and their geographical origin, the lace industry past and present and the Bruges lace education. Attention is paid to the appreciation of the craftsmanship and the aesthetic side. And there is also the contemporary and the international appeal of lace. Bruges Lace Museum is interactive and uses multimedia applications. With you admission ticket to the museum you can also attend the lace demonsrations in the Lace Centre between 2 and 5 pm (not on Sundays and public holidays).
