Pool of Peace
Nowadays, this mine crater is a serene, contemplative place. It is, however, a remnant of the Battle of Messines, as it is the largest and most impressive crater left by the famous Mine Attack. It is 12 metres deep and has a full diameter of 129 meters.Discover the numerous WWI sites and join us in commemorating those who fought in Flanders Fields.
