Together with the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA), the Museum of Oudenaarde and the Flemish Ardennes (MOU) is organising an exhibition devoted to Adriaen Brouwer, which is set to open in the autumn of next year. Around 50 paintings will showcase Brouwer's work; 25 of them are by Adriaen Brouwer himself, and 25 are by his contemporaries. The exhibition will be built around five themes, each focussing on one key art work that will provide new insights based on scientific research. Additionally, there will be an outdoor art trail where Flemish contemporary artists will engage in a dialogue with Brouwer's work.
