When the First World War broke out, the aviation was still in its infancy. But the war stimulated its development. reconnaissance planes and zeppelins were replaced by real fighter planes and bombers. The pilots also enjoyed a high status. Those who would get the upper hand in multiple fights, would be awarded the title 'ace'. In this exhibition the war in the sky is shown by means of many objects.
