2016 marks the 500th anniversary of the book Utopia by the English humanist and statesman Thomas More, that was published in Leuven. The anniversary of this milestone in European intellectual and cultural history is the reason for a prestigious exhibition. In 2016 it will be 500 years since the English humanist and statesman Thomas More published his world famous book 'Utopia' in Leuven. The quincentenary of this milestone in Europe's intellectual and cultural history will be marked by a major exhibition in M - Museum Leuven.The search for this world is also the focal point of a citywide cultural, scientifique and tourist programme. Contemporary art, architecture, dance, film, music, art in public space, city trails, lectures and discussion forums will whisk you away beyond the horizon.
