Here the latest about Covid-19 measures in Flanders (last update 23rd May 2022, 8:00 am):

The golden rules remain in force, namely:
- respect the hygiene regulations (wear your face mask and wash your hands regularly)
- take extra precautions for people belonging to risk groups
- face masks are mandatory in hospitals, medical care centers and at the pharmacy. A mask is required for everyone from 12 years on.

Borders & Travelling:
- the ban on non-essential travel from outside the European Union is lifted, as well as the obligation to test on days 1 and 7, the 10-day quarantine, the ability to present the Passenger Locator Form and a valid vaccination, recovery or testing certificate.

This does not apply to travelers coming from a country with a new variant of concern. The current rules will continue to apply to them:
- travellers from a country with a new variant of concern mus have a valid EMA-approved (European Medicines Agency) vaccination, a test certificate or recovery certificate.
- a vaccination certificate proves that you have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. You are fully vaccinated 2 weeks after your last vaccination dose and if the vaccine is EMA-certified or Covidshield. From 1st September on, vaccination certificates from non-EU countries will also be accepted in Belgium under certain conditions, pending their equivalence agreement with the EU.
- a recovery certificate shows that you have recovered from COVID-19. These certificates are issued only on the basis of proof of a positive PCR test result and are available from 11 to 180 days after the positive test. From 1st March on, the recovery certificate will expire after 150 days (instead of 180 days).
- a test certificate is proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result that is less than 72 hours old or RAT test result that is less than 24 hours old.
- if you are travelling to Belgium for a duration of 48 hours or more, and you´re older than 12, you are required to fill in a Passenger Locator Form within 6 months of scheduled arrival in in Belgium. This form will be used both for leisure and business trips. Click here for the Passenger Locator online form
