How to get to Flanders Fields?
… by train
It is possible to travel by train to Ypres from every city in Flanders. This will generally require a change of train in Kortrijk. Seat reservation is not required, train tickets can be purchased at the railway station before departure. Click here for more information about travelling by train.
Visiting Flanders Fields
Some of the cemeteries, visitor centers and other sites in the Westhoek are not easy to reach by public transport. For this reason, if you do not have your own transport, we recommend booking an organized tour or renting a bicycle.
- By bicycle or on foot:
The open countryside, towns and cities that make up the historic site of Flanders Fields can be discovered by bicycle or simply on foot.
