Accessible travel to Flanders

Travelling by train is not only comfortable and accessible, it is also a sustainable choice. Plan your trip ahead, using the information below. We will also explain the options for assistance in the different Belgian airports. Then you can set off well prepared and with confidence to Flanders.

By train

The Eurostar connects the largest European cities such as Paris, Amsterdam, London and Cologne with Brussels in just a few hours. In addition to that, the TGV INOUI and ICE networks connect Brussels with many cities in France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Spain.

Reserve your seat before your departure via Rail Europe or B-Europe. In each train, several spacious places are reserved for wheelchair users, close to an adapted toilet. On the Eurostar and TGV, you will find these in the first-class carriages. You may use them, together with your companion, for the cost of a 'second-class' ticket. On the ICE, you will find the adapted places in 'second class'. Make an explicit request when booking your trip. Meals are reserved at the seats themselves.

Do you require assistance at the airport? Would you like to know where to find the accessible parking bays? Or do you want more information about assistance aids and guide dogs? On the websites of the Belgian airports, you can read more about the specific services that they provide for passengers with a disability.
